WHISPERS THROUGH THE WIND The night was darkly quiet as I hurried home, the only sound the whispers, I was not alone! Through time and space, the voices I heard were echoes of lost souls having the last word. My courage quickly left me and I felt the chill of unseen hands reaching out, leaving me no will. I never saw the shadows, I only heard the pain in voices carried by the wind, the whispers remain. The whispers faded as I neared my cottage door, yet I will remember them, I know, forever more. The warmth of the hearth beckoned me to stay, so safe and secure, as the night turned to day. Outside the wind subsided, once more they rest and I just go on living, trying to do my very best to understand the whispers through the wind heard, those echoes of lost souls having the last word.
