Take good hard look at yourself

This is a poem i wrote to vent about some feelings i had.

Looking at you now
Makes me wonder how
How you let it come to this
So many things I'm sure you miss
With her you can't be you
She judges everythng you do

You act a way i know isn't true
Just so you can hang with her crew
When did you become so fake
You're putting your morals at stake
I thought you were better than selling out
But you are just like them i doubt

How can the guy who said, 'i don't have to impress anyone'
Be the guy who caves to pressure and says 'i'm done'
You traded in your individuality for her
I wish you would go back to the way you were

When you didn't care what people thought
Or where your things were bought
When you strived to be different
And when no one ever knew what you meant

But times have changed
Time has changed you
Rather she has changed you
She changed into what she wanted
She doesn't want the real you
Don't you see
She doesn't accept you, for you
Hopefully one day you will see... I did
