A poem for those men and women fighting the war |
| There's so much to live for, so much to protect. You offer your lives, and we give you respect. But is that enough for the work that you do? You suffer with all that you have to go through. A lost life is tragic, so mournful and sad. Loved ones are left to recall what they had. To the fallen men and women who're gone: You will be remembered; In our hearts you'll live on. To the families and friends; I can not ease your pain. But the loved ones you've lost did not die in vain. Last, but not least, I can't forget you... To the troops that are fighting: We miss you all too! You keep us safe so we can sleep tight. So please come back home and make everything right. |
