Down the Pit

Don't give up, get back into the game

Suddenly my spirts start to fall
I fall down the pit, I crash into the wall
I thought for a moment that I was ok
I was trying my hardest, I would make it someday
but I streched out my hand, just a little too far
I could not hold on, I let go of the bar
I keep going down, lower and lower it seems
I only live on because of my dreams
When I look at the past, the future seems bright
As I'm falling down, I look up at the light
I see faces I knew, as I fall down the pit
I fall even lower, my path's dimly lit
I look where I once was, back when I was so high
tears fill my eyes, I just wish I knew why
I was almost there, but then I let go
It doesn't feel good to be falling you know
yet I stopped going down, I grabbed onto the wall
I climbed toward the top, why do I have to fall?
If you fall down the pit, if your spirits grow lame
Don't fall for too long, get back into the game
Climb as high as you want, you can do anything
When you get to the top, let your voice out and sing
