a long lost love vists back

was last night a dream?
or were you really there?
for i felt your warm breath on my cheek
your warm bare chest on my back
i felt your hair on my face
his hands slowly wrapped around my waist
i felt your face in my hair
and your soothing voice in my ear
"i will never leave you"
his hand brushed my cheek and my hair
to gently put me asleep

i awoke that morning
to find no one by my side
so i asked myself
'if it was for real'
but if it was
he would still be here
holding my hand
with his soft tan hand
