Once upon a time long ago, three people that were very competitive, although friendly, joined acclaimed website writing.com. These friends entered every contest possible, winning being each person’s goal. Generally happiness reigned if one of their stories won over any other entry. All was looking really good, when without warning another entrant started showing up gathering wins. Unrest followed; no story posted from them could rise as best choice. The short fiction competition top honors awarded went for item links more creatively posed and to portfolios not bearing familiar names.

Then I awoke putting nightmares behind my naive fears.
