My Love!

A piece written moments after a very special man in my life left my side.

My love I give my heart to you
a very special love that's true
when all else is said and done
A love I share with only one.

Your arms around me our last night
you held my heart, you held it tight
a tear upon my cheek did fall
no! not just one, I shed them all.

A kiss goodnight, a gentle touch
the memories they mean so much
till such time when next we meet
my heart, my love, for you still beats.

I wait patiently alone each night
for you to come back into sight
deep inside I pray it's true
we will be one again, instead of two.
