SAYING GOODBYE

Saing goodbye doesn't come easily

Saying farewell is most difficult to do
Goodbyes never came easily for me
I know it’s the right thing despite the turmoil felt
The time has come to face reality and just let go

Goodbye is another word for loneliness
Letting go just as hard as issuing the word
I realize fantasies aren’t meant to last,
But reality an even harder fact to acknowledge

Saying goodbye now a necessity,
Some dreams just aren’t meant to be captured
The stars once seen in my eyes vanish,
Yet still I must say goodbye
