Life is not a fairy tale like we were told as we read books when we were young

Oh my magic knight....
In my fairy tale, you were my fairy tale.
As my mom tucked me goodnight
With stories of my rescue
by my magic knight
My fairy tale

Life was to be so wonderful,
Everything was to be beautiful
All was to be so nice.
Living life happily ever after
in my fairy tale

So I waited, for my magic knight,
my magic life...

But you never came to save me,
you let me stand alone....
You never came to save me
Out in the wilderness,
I found the magic portion,
My destiny to die,
I ate the poisen apple
No royal kiss could save me

My story ends as stories do
reality steps into view
no longer living in my fairy tale
My magic knight, to no avail

Reality steps into view
my life must now begin
Reality steps into view
no longer living life in paradise
Reality steps into view
No more paradise

No fairy tales, just reality
But.....I know my knight still awaits, patiently....my fairy tale
