A Harry Potter poem, delving into the darkness of the Dementor |
| Laced in darkness Shadowed in eternal foreboding Forever feeling like nothing Will ever be good again That feeling came from A dementor being too close Those sickly looking cloths Hanging all gangly in the air That soft kiss Bound to exalt you Take that soul you’ve lived with all your life And bring it by your side Steal the beat right out of your heart The air right out of your lungs Plunge you into the deepest, coldest water Pull you back with the hardest tug Whiplash your faintest worry Swirling epiphany Blackened mind turning away from life Meeting that dank, hollow door Much worse than death Easier than life No glimmer of hope to save you Only an end to take your hand Guide you to the land of no memories Loveless, emotionless, boundless reverie The dementor’s kiss on the rocks Goodbye soul |
