Sound Of Silence

Not much to say except I wrote this in 10 minutes the other day...It may not be perfect :)

When leaves whirling and twirling around me
Found their way to the ground
When the purple and silvery sky
Cried in thick tears over the world
When the grey and bare row of trees
Bowed their heads as to welcome me
When the cold and blustery wind
Found its way to my bones like a dagger
We strode in silence, listening
To the dull echo of our footsteps
You held my hand and protected me
As stillness took hold of us.
