Searching

introspection

Searching it seems forever-
for a place to belong
a way to fit in

Looking for someone who knows-
someone to see me
someone to show me
someone to teach me

There never seems to be an end-
to the confusion
to the unknown
to the fear
to the mistakes
to the regrets

Searching for a place-
to rest my head
to still the fears
to calm my soul

At times it seems so close, but it remains elusive

And I continue
