a small hand clamped in a fist
one sad smile
one small wish
one heart crying

fools like me
friends like you
together is we,
one of us is you
one heart crying
one heart torn

a tear falling
a smile fading
someone stalling for me for you
one heart crying
one heart torn

a family failing at all they do
a kiss on the cheek is all she knew
one heart crying
one heart torn

love is one thing she thought she knew
one heart crying

She looked at him, he looked at her
They didn’t know what they were
