You though I would wait forever.... you were wrong.

Still Behind

When I was here, you were far behind
Always waiting, wondering what you might find
One day you looked up and I was not there
Then all at once you realized your fear
That the day would come when I would no longer be near
So you ran ahead, so fast to catch up ……

And you called out my name…..
but my ears were deaf to your words
And you searched for my eyes…..
but they were blind to your face…..
And you felt for my arms…...
but they were no longer within reach

And finally you looked for my heart
The one thing you were sure would stay
You looked down and you found it
At you feet it now lays, but broken in pieces you will find
I am not here and you are still behind.....

(this was the poem that was the insparation to my first attemp at song writing. I will also post the song once I am finished.. please review)
