SEARCHING FOR MY SPIRIT

A quest to find myself

Searching for my spirit hasn’t come easily
I keep reaching for the stars and for my destiny
When I think it’s been lost, I follow the urgings of my heart,
The place I realize is the one to start

In a world of fantasy and suffering I reflect as to why,
So many feel pain and why so many die
Still I search for my spirit, know I’ll never cease,
Until I’ve discovered inner peace

I turn to God and beseech him to help me find my destiny,
To give me the wisdom to find the real me
My prayer is answered and a dear friend sent to me
One I shall cherish eternally

Searching for my spirit led me to you
I’ve finally found a friend who is true
The stars now shine brighter and my world so complete
Now I no longer wander loneliness’ street
It paid searching for my spirit
