why?

parents going through a divorce

my parents have been together for over ten years,

they've gone through it all,

through the joys and the tears

I sit here all alone,

crying on my bed,

with the words they told me,

repeating in my head,

they said they were breaking up,

and that i wasn't to blame,

and even though they were apart,

it would still stay the same.

sometimes i wish they hadn't split up

so they'd both be here with me,

even though i know,

we'll never be a happy family
