In the arms of the Angel

This is a poem I wrote in the memory of my grandmother

I heard a beautiful song today
it made my heart break into
It reminded me of a year ago
when we faced life without you .

It was " In the arm of the angel"
the song Darla played for you
When we had to say our last good-bye
the hardest thing we had to do

In a few days it will be a year
sense I heard your voice or seen your smile
The pain is still so strong right now
for it to ease will take awhile

I sat here and held your picture
It made my eyes fill with tears
For I will love you forever
like you loved me for years

Your in the arms of the Angel's
dressed in white satin and lace
Your halo is brightly glowing
with a beautiful smile upon your face

Keep on smiling my angel
I'll see you again one day
When my place in Heaven is ready
when I come home to stay

Until then I will be here waiting
living my life from day to day
For I know your arms will be open
when you hear I am on my way
