We shared so much together, wanted peace for all mankind
Fought side by side together, put our lives on the line
Sought to capture our dream of unity for each and every race
Others didn’t want it, taught us humility and disgrace

Follow your heart, our hearts did scream
Capture that ever elusive dream

Don’t put off tomorrow what can be done today

We weren’t prepared for what was to come
One life was taken, leaving the other alone
Yet our bond being strong, surpassing even death’s call
A miracle to rival miracle’s to one and all
