Look Into The Mirror

I look in the mirror
What do I see
A person I don't know
Who is she?

Could this person I see
Be me?
Why don't I recognize
Who I see?

I look in her eyes
But only see sorrow
I wish I could tell her
There will be a better tomorrow

She is very beautiful
Although she has a frown
But we all know that's
Just a smile turned upside down

As she reflects
On her life in the past
She knows she needs
To make changes fast

So looking again
At this person I see
I know who she is
For it is ME.

My frown becomes a smile
My eyes begin to glow
It's very overwhelming
To not be feeling so low

I remember now
I love Me
I love you
I love everyone, you see

I was lost for a moment
But now I am found
I don't need the mirror anymore
I can now turn around

I face the world now
Not worried what others think of me
Only what I think of myself
That is what is vital don't you see.
