Should've Known

A short poem about betrayal and lost love.

I should've known better
All I risked for you
You couldn't do the same for me

Does she know the things you told me?
Are they things you told her, too?

I should've known you couldn't be true
A heart divided 'stead of tearing itself in two
Will eventually go one way or the other
Should've known I'd be the one to lose.
