Shall Never be

this is a poem about my feelings for soemone

I gaze at your radiant smile
with hope of a future for us.
I know it's foolish to think
of such things.
Yet, I can not help my feelings for you.

I dream of a kiss that shall never be.
I pray for hands touching
and know it shall never be.

But I can't help my feeling for you.
I wish i could tell you
but alas i can't.
Forfear that our friendship
will shatter and fall.

Our love shall never be
but our friendship is stronger than ever
