My Prayer

This was a poem that seemed to flow from my heart...

I cry, come closer to me,
it is You I want to see.
Flooding my life with your love,
love that is sent from above.

I am crying out to You,
I want a heart that is new.
Revealing to me Your way,
from You I will not stray.

Be reflected in my life.
In me let a fire burn,
and for You may my soul yearn,
so You may take away my strife.

To You alone will I pray
for You to show me the way.
My heart will You please renew,
I want to follow you, too.

I look to heaven above,
and cry for more of Your love
to share with the people I see,
to say what You mean to me.
