A poem for my nephew ryan who was shaken and abused at 3 months old by his father |
| Ryan’s Poem My beautiful imperfection You changed your very fate You threw away the odds they gave And fell from heavens gate My Moses in your basket Alone and scared you lie While angels kissed and held thy hands Your bitter tears they dried My little angel boy Oh what have you to show? A crooked walk a cast of blue A will to live and grow My little wooden soldier with your broken halo fight To live a life of valor And shine with all your might My pure and sweet miracle I hope one day you’ll see The wonder that you hold inside And the treasure you will be |
