Of a dream never to come true
Why should I be
Forever tormented by this too
WHY DREAM OF DREAMS?

What should I dream
Now that all my hopes are destroyed
What should I do
I feel like fate’s cursed little toy
WHAT DREAMS TO DREAM?

Who should have dreams
Is it a man with a great gift
Who should derive
Such a crazy tormenting myth
WHO DREAMS OF DREAMS?

Where should lost dreams
Force their taunting, teasing presence
Where should the hurt
Hide from such unwanted presents
WHERE DO DREAMS DREAM?

How should I dream
To be safe from disappointment
How should a man
Safeguard against wishful torment
HOW TO DREAM DREAMS?

I had a dream
Wished for it always, everyday
I had a fall
Now my dream is with yesterday
I CAN'T DREAM DREAMS!
