While I was reading The Perks of Being a Wall Flower I found myself comparing it to the movie Stand by Me. The movie is about a group of kids who head of to find adventure but in the end they find themselves. I think that this fits with Charlie. The main boy in the movie likes to read and write stories. When reading I found out that Charlie also likes to read and write. Not only are the main characters the same but also the following characters. There is a boy in the movies who gets hurt by his dad and that reminds me of Sam in some ways, and Charlie. Charlie's Aunt hurt him and a man hurt Sam as well. So I think I found the perfect movie to go with this book. In a lot of ways they are similar and in a lot of ways they are different.
