Longing


A longing in my heart
Needs to be satisfied
There is a moment I relive
Of which I’ve been deprived

It’s only been one day
But that’s one day too long
I need to see you again
So I needn’t be alone

You’re all that’s on my mind
As the hours melt away
I wish I could see you now
On this long and stretching day

I want to look into your eyes
So dark, so sweet, so deep
Those windows to your heart and soul
That only I can see
