Lost

A poem I wrote for a little competeition a while ago.

Ever found yourself lost
Deep in a forbidden forest
A place were all things haunt
And noises creep behind you

Ever found yourself lost
On a desert island
Hidden from peeping eyes
Alone in the dark

Ever found yourself lost
In a field of pansies
Away from home
Freezing and hungry

Ever found yourself lost
With nowhere to go
Frightened and lonely
Cold and in need

Ever found yourself lost
Somewhere unknown
Waiting quietly
Wanting to be found
