Being Dad

Poem expressing the importance of making memories with my kids and being dad.

Let me show you the other side
by making memories and emotions I won't hide.
I'll take you places to see new things,
show that life is more than money and more than what we see.
I love you both I hope you know,
I'll always be here no matter where you go.
I never had a father in my life,
to take me places and teach me how to fight.
I'm so glad that I'm your dad,
I've learned so much from what I didn't have.
Memories for your life I've tried to create,
so you'll grow up with fond stories you'll contemplate.
In all we do theres lessons to be learned,
I want to teach you things so you don't get burned.
Being your dad, my greatest gift,
and I'll love you always as long as we shall live.
