remembering lonely nights on the rooftop feeling worldly when i knew nothing.

there was a time when
we thought we were so wise
so worldly
and filled with bitterness
we held our heads high in pride
but we were fools
we knew nothing aside from surliness
and assumed tragedy
nothing good will ever come to those
who think they are alone
