My view of Spousal Abuse

If your Husband hits you, get out now!
The sooner the better, it doesn't matter how.
It's not your fault, the problem's not yours.
Don't be afraid, open the doors.

His mother went through the same damn thing
He saw it happen, a familiar thing.
It seemed like normal everyday life
Why shouldn't he do it to his silly little wife.

The children are watching, frozen in fear.
The fright on their faces is abundantly clear.
When will their father leave her alone?
Not soon, they can see, his face set in stone.

The children are next, the mother expects.
Of course, there will be long-time effects.
Think of the kids, and their future to come.
Gather them up, doing nothing is dumb!
