This too shall pass

poem i wrote about 2 years ago

you're slowly pushing me away
I can't face the light of day
slipping further into emptiness
no longer able to make sense of this

the only sound is that of my tears
as I alone face each of my fears
each thought worse than the last
as I pray that this too shall pass
