Darkness Closes

A little about me in short words

The sadness bites deep
Devouring the soul
I’d greatly take sleep
Never waking as whole
My light clicks off
Darkness finds its own
Visions I scoff
Have now grown
What once was a smile
Shifts to a frown
As long as the Nile
I weigh myself down
These thoughts are my own
Ones I must conquer
And once they are sewn
I will close the shutter.
