Shakespearean sonnet I wrote in my Englishclass. My mind was on the hurricanes last year. |
| There's nothing like hope on a windy day Forget the falling trees, the angry breeze That succeeds in blowing us all away And infects us like a deadly disease Mistake the fear for pride and let it fly It carries in the wind, touching us all So we choose to shun the stars in the sky And embrace the ground to which they will fall But life always seems much shorter for this And so many have left without reason We are doomed to forget that hope exists And pray on a divine resolution So we root ourselves as the strong wind blows Waiting for an answer that no one knows |
