It's Best To Be Blind

Yeah. It's about not wanting to be in the spotlight because people are too judgmental.

I hid in my shadow when the sun came
It lit up the sky and everything but me
So they stayed alive and I died on the inside
And no one saw me, no one saw me smiling

I think I like it here in the dark
Where no one can see the sun
It blinds the best of eyes
I won't let it take mine

I fixate on a man with cement eyes
He stayed in the light and everyone saw him
And everyone loved him, and he loved what they saw
Until the gavel dropped and he melted fast

I think it's best to be blind
