Starlight

Poem written about my boyfriend when he was going through a really rough time.

Star light, star bright,
I wish upon you on this dismal night.
Give me strength in my helpless plight.
I wish I may, I wish I might
Be strong enough to help him fight.

Star light, star bright,
If I could have one wish tonight
Please keep him warm by fire's light
Let him be safe from harm and fight
And feel better in the morning's light.

My pretty star please pierce the night,
And reach him with your shining light
Please watch over my heart's delight.
I wish he may, I wish he might,
Know that he is on my mind tonight.

Star light, star bright,
Grant me this wish I wish tonight,
That we may strengthen eachother through the darkest night
That we will cherish eachother with what is right.
With love brighter than the morning's light.
