A poem created by a musician, while listening to Beethoven. |
| A Musician's Reflection Confusion creates a battle To view clear images on the screen Of my thoughts, rippling and clear. Mental melodies flow continuously Ever attempting to reach, to encourage Gradual awakening to a new perception Gently cascading from the mind Flowing, uninhibited and joyously out Through my pen, having no end Knowing no discernible beginning Momentum, increasing in volume and strength Reaching my eardrum but finding response In my chest, rising and falling with Great depth and clarity, finally reaching That pure and real dimension Familiar responses to a known melody Create a storm, clear and free of confusion Reminders of emotion, self and expression Through script and notes are expressed by White refreshing keys, clear as they ripple Fingers, agile and receptive To my emotion, respond to the instructions Of my heart; I desire more than feel The existence of what is evoked And know it must be, for I have created. (written as a creative writing exercise while listening to Sonata in G Major, op. 49, no. 2, Ludwig van Beethoven) |
