Here is a list poem of some of the authors i have read this year in school

I’m no T.C Boyle
And defiantly no Steinbeck
My stories don’t define a generation like Kerouac
I don’t quote the raven never more like Poe
The words I write aren’t banned like Salinger
I never wrote an American novel like Twain
I’ve never written a children’s classic like E.B. White
Or had a character like Walter Mitty courtesy of Thurber
I’ve never seen anything like the Holocaust and lived to write about it like Wiesel
Or been through war like O’Brein
All the lotteries I know of don’t kill you if you win, unlike the society of writer Shirley Jackson
A necklace is not just a necklace to Guy de Maupassant
Even the most perfect societies have there dark secrets, that’s the message according to Le Guin
