The president lied
The economy took a dive
Unemployment is my only means to survive
Bill collectors ring the phone off the hook
And I"m 10 days late on my library books
Where can I find the money to pay this?
Not from the bank,squat to repay with
I've got a reputation to uphold
When you"re down and out friends ice cold
Family slammed the door in my face
And my best friend is 12 steps away
No one to turn to nowhere to run
My destiny evolves as i overcome
