will I ever find my prince. I need someone

I’ve heard of happily ever after
–being swept off your feet by true love
Every girl will dream to be a princess
–rescued by her perfect prince

Dreams are far from the hell that reality poses

Prince Charming is a Fucking lie.
“Being swept off your feet” is a ridiculous concept
I’ve been crushed, stepped on, broken
NOT “swept off my feet”

I don’t need a "Prince Charming–or Perfect"
I need–someone

And so I write

"Prince anyone who cares,"
Please–
I am begging you on these weary knees
Take me a way from this hell
I need you
Reach out and grab my hand

I thought I could make it on my own.
I can’t do this
I’m dying
Without you,
There is no ever after,
No after,
Nothing.
