Ice in a winter storm,
Showering hail down.
Hail from a blackened sky.
Black like night,

But simply is.

From bad dreams.
Dreams of a trusted friend.
Dreams from which you run.
Run like the wind.
Wind that pursues,
Howling promises of old.
Promises for a broken heart.
Broken like a twig,
Broken like this house.
A house that doesn’t breathe,
