Johnny went walkin one day His momma sure was a squakin in that thar doorway He went walkin anyway Too much wilderness and country gratitude A man has got to change his latitude So he put out his thumb and met a dude Who said he was headin west, To prove it, he wore a country style vest That’s all it took to lead Johnny west. The false cowboys name was Luke And by all accounts it was no fluke His grandfather came from Sandwich, where he was not the Earl, but the duke. It mattered none, Luke had big plans A pot full o gold was in his hands After all, supply and demand Johnny knew he’d strke it rich He had plans of his own which... |
