What is a man who loses hope?

Hope is what drives us, it feeds our very soul, and without it we will become the soulless nothings born in the wings of nightmares. Thriving on the dreams of others, we become that darkness we once feared, we embrace it, take it upon us fully.
Now no longer sre we men but slaves, slaves to the vast emptiness within us, we have lost hope, we have lost our very souls; and in exchange we gain... nothing...
