This is a poem about a woman hoping to one day be everything to the man she loves.

Watching you from across the room
Flirting with every girl but me.
You say you want me, you say you care
So why can't it all just be?

I could be the one for you
I would wait out in the rain
Spend eternity of hope
Still my feelings will remain.

You tell me everything you dream
As I fall deeper into you.
Is it friendship that you feel?
Or do you really love me too?

Your words they tell me one thing
But another says my heart.
Is this feeling true?
Or should we be apart?

I could be the girl you want
I could be the girl you need.
I would be there for you always
If you would only see.
