A poem about the calming effects of the sea. |
| If I could, I would live by the sea and hope that I could be as mysterious as the creatures that inhabit it. Only to imagine the feeling of total weightlessness. I would walk barefoot along the seashore… sand squishing between my toes. I would close my eyes, the sea's aroma taking over my senses; consuming me. White-caps angrily rolling in only to remind me; the sea is not always gentle. I would watch as seagulls sit atop driftwood; watching in wait to take their part of the sea. At sunset the calmness of the water would embrace me, as I watch the sun take her place gracefully beyond the sea dispersing a warm amber glow; completing serenity. ©Choctaw Heiress |
