A New Day

A peom dedicated to our soldiers and survivors of 9/11.

Fear not dear child
as I bring a new day,
where the noise is soon silenced
and the children can play.
The day will be bright;
the cruel beast will sleep.
All will be calm;
no one will weep.
We'll mourn for our lost,
then we'll heal all the pain-
always and forever praise them;
memorialize their names.
All patriots-
All heroes-
take us under their wings,
then all is safe
and we hear the dove sing.
