My Dog's Pup

This is about a situation children sometimes find themself in.

I remember when,
I was ten;
I made my best friend mad.
I made him boohoo,
but I did not mean to;
Oh yeah; his name was Brad!
I should have known,
his brother half-grown;
would be coming after me.
I took him a pup,
and then we made up;
now his brother will
leave me be!
