In this theatre of learning,
The learned is performing.

Armed with mic, powerpoint,
Surrounded by the eerie hum and glow,
Emitted from technological equipment,
Perched upon his stage.

A shrill attack interrupts,
From a rebellious mobile phone,
Awakens those in the audience,
Lulled by the deadweight of terminology.
