Hurt

This is a poem written for my first true love.

I'm wondering why you left me;
My heart it feels so empty.
Hurt and pain going through my mind;
I'm wondering why you left this time.
You promised you'd never leave me;
You told me you'd never deceive me.
I'm wondering why I cried this time;
You've left me so many other times.
I never thought I'd feel this way;
Now that I do, I'm so ashamed.
You took my heart and beat it dry;
You told me you wished that I would die.
Now it's the end for you and I;
I'm wondering if I'll find someone good next time.
