A poem about loving someone who does not return that feeling |
| Illusions of you need to fade, For I am fading fast, And you will find in time, I'll be clinging to the past. I doubt you really know, But somewhere you must see, The person clinging here, To your false reality. Just let me into you, Let me be your pain, Be not the night for me, Be my shelter in the rain. I'm haunted by your touch, By your unending smile. Promise me your love, Cross the lonely mile. Your words, they hurt too much, As you turned around to leave, And I am standing here, Refusing to believe. Just let me be the one. Let me be your truth. Be the star up in my sky. Be my reason why! |
