a deep poem about a suicide in the bathtub but through metaphorical poetry. |
| A container meant for cleansing Its liquid meant for rinsing A lake held inside blank walls Drop your clothes as your hair falls Step within its ivory bounds Release your worries, release your crowns Relax and rub your body clean The scent, not yet obscene But when the decision falls into place No one will remember you as grace Pick up the blade Drag it in danger Let drip the shade Conform to a stranger Colors are changed and remain in the water Falter your ways and let it get hotter This body lay at the top of a lake Just like a murder, but killer opaque No questions of who did it The strokes on your wrists forbid it Lifeless except for the fluid leaking From your body as if speaking Choking on the absences of air The way you went Like the way you cared. |
